Two Satoshi-era wallets moved 20,000 Bitcoin after 14 years of silence.
The cryptocurrency market is abuzz as two ancient Bitcoin wallets, holding 20,000 BTC, suddenly come back to life after 14 years of "hibernation." This event not only draws attention due to its value of over $2 billion but also raises many speculations about the motives of the owners.
A wallet created in 2011, when Bitcoin was only priced at $0.78, has transferred the entire amount of BTC. The second wallet also made a similar move. These wallets belong to the "Satoshi era," using an old format, which is very rare today.
The transfer took place when the price of Bitcoin was near the record high of 110,000 dollars, leading many to believe that this could be a sign of investors deciding to withdraw their funds early. However, the price of Bitcoin remains stable around 109,000 dollars without significant fluctuations.
