AI-driven Content Value Reconstruction: From Music IP Assetization to Decentralization Narrative Sandbox
Three Major Trends in Content Assetization: Reshaping the IP Lifecycle
Real-world assets ( RWA ), artificial intelligence ( AI ), and intellectual property ( IP ) are becoming the three most promising directions in the Web3 field. In 2023, the RWA boom has emerged, currently entering a more refined asset classification stage. In 2024, AI will fully explode, driving significant increases in the market values of related companies. Intellectual property, once regarded as a niche field, has been repositioned as a core driver of Web3 due to the rapid development of AI, serving as both the source of content and potentially the core structure of data assets.
What kind of chemical reaction would occur if these three fields were combined? Some projects are trying to provide answers.
Recently, multiple projects have embarked on various explorations: from AI content generation to on-chain rights confirmation, from music IP assetization to the decentralized co-construction of franchise assets, a new ecosystem surrounding the creation, confirmation, splitting, profit sharing, and inheritance of IP is taking shape.
AI generated music converted into on-chain assets
In the context of the rapid development of AI content generation, the issues of copyright, ownership, and revenue distribution related to AI creation have become increasingly prominent, especially in the music field. At the same time, the traditional music revenue model relies on platform distribution, with long payment cycles and opaque earnings, making "easy to create but difficult to monetize" a common dilemma for creators.
To address this issue, an AI-driven music platform has launched a new feature: users only need to @ the platform in popular posts on social media and attach prompt words, allowing AI to automatically generate music or MV, which is then registered on the blockchain for rights confirmation and tokenization, converting it into tradable music IP assets.
Each IP corresponds to a token with asset attributes, built with a 1% transaction tax to incentivize original creators, secondary creators, and disseminators. Creators can also earn income through licensing fees and derivative profit sharing. This model has first realized the path from hot social media posts directly to on-chain assets, granting content immediate rights confirmation and monetization capability.
On May 28, the platform officially issued a tokenized asset of a music IP in collaboration with a well-known DJ, and airdropped 20% to eligible users. Currently, the platform supports cross-chain operations and uses a native token of a certain public chain as the transaction gas. The platform has also partnered with major music labels to integrate thousands of AI agents, promoting the large-scale generation and distribution of community-driven music IP.
Music IP on Chain, Exploring New RWA Track
On-chain RWA ( real-world assets ) are experiencing continuous growth. According to data platforms, as of now, the total market value of on-chain RWA has exceeded 23 billion USD, with a monthly increase of 6.4%. Although it is still mainly focused on U.S. Treasury bonds, private credit, and commodities, franchise-type assets and other non-standard assets are becoming new focal points.
In recent years, music assets have gradually attracted institutional interest due to their stable cash flow, significant long-tail value, and high returns, leading to accelerated capital deployment: since 2021, several large investment institutions have invested billions of dollars in acquiring music copyrights or providing financing support.
A core protocol focused on non-standard RWA in a certain public chain ecosystem, concentrating on music assets, capitalizing on song copyrights, performance rights, and future royalty earnings, providing users with an entry point to participate in high-potential content IP.
According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry's 2025 report, the global music industry generates annual revenues close to $30 billion, with performance rights income doubling since 2010, becoming an important source of stable cash flow. This agreement also aligns with this trend by transforming music IP into composable and tradable on-chain financial assets.
Currently, the asset pool of this agreement covers works by multiple top international artists. Most of these works have passed the royalty income decline period, with an average asset age of over 4 years, providing stable income with low volatility. It also includes some new works from 2024, which have growth potential.
The agreement integrates copyright, performance rights, and royalty income through a portfolio model, creating a standardized asset package that supports users in participating in early releases with stablecoins. This path for the assetization of music IP effectively addresses the issues of poor liquidity, lack of transparency in income, and low utilization rates of IP in traditional music assets.
In the future, the protocol will achieve liquidity, staking, and lending through the RWIP token. The current portfolio's expected annualized return is 8-9%, and it is anticipated to return to a long-term average of 4-5% within three to five years.
The protocol enables transparent asset management from off-chain to on-chain, injecting a content-driven new path into the RWA market of Web3, and also infusing new vitality of financialization into music IP.
In addition, the agreement launched a points system in early May to provide exclusive incentives for early users, and the token airdrop became available on May 22. Users who participated in the early issuance will receive IPRWA tokens starting from June 25.
AI and Blockchain Reshaping the Production Logic of Franchise IP
In the traditional entertainment industry, IP is usually dominated by centralized teams, and contributors find it difficult to receive ongoing returns. A sci-fi project is attempting to break this model.
This is an open, decentralized "narrative sandbox" created under the guidance of renowned screenwriters, supporting audiences, creators, developers, and even introducing AI agents to participate in world-building.
Its content rights confirmation, authorization, and profit-sharing mechanism are completely built on the blockchain: users leave verifiable "traces of authorship" on the chain, and the system automatically allocates earnings based on content usage, ensuring that contributions receive sustainable returns. AI agents play the role of "screenwriter partners," not only generating text and plots but also organizing interactions, integrating clues, and dynamically expanding settings, becoming an important part of building the worldview.
At the beginning of this month, the project officially launched creative tasks, encouraging users to create content such as characters, artifacts, myths, and locations. So far, users have generated over 30,000 entries for characters, settings, and worldviews. These user creations will be officially incorporated into the project universe after community voting and approval by the main creators. As the ecological development of this sci-fi universe gradually unfolds, the corresponding creators will receive ongoing rewards.
As a decentralized "laboratory" that integrates AI collaboration with IP market mechanisms, it provides a new "multi-agent collaborative" paradigm for the development of Web3 native IP.
The Composable Future of AI, RWA, and IP
In these projects, social trending posts become assets; songs turn into bonds; AI co-creates content civilization with humans. Supporting all of this is a programmable IP infrastructure—the underlying bridge connecting AI, RWA, and IP.
Currently, a global online developer competition is being held, focusing on the innovative direction of IP × AI × RWA, supported by several leading crypto investment institutions. This event is open to both developers and non-technical participants, with winning projects having the opportunity to receive investor roadshow opportunities and access to ecosystem resources, with a total prize pool of $55,000.
