The Evolution of Encryption Information Flow: From Group Chats to the Transformation of Kaito
Exploring the Evolution of Twitter Encryption Information Flow: From Group Chats to Kaito
The world of encryption currency has always been full of opportunities and challenges. Looking back, we can see that the way information is disseminated in this field has undergone significant changes.
Initially, the cryptocurrency space was relatively simple, centered around Bitcoin and mining. Despite limited resources, believers firmly believed that Bitcoin would eventually appreciate in value. The emergence of professional content producers (i.e., KOLs) in 2018 marked the beginning of a new era. WeChat groups and online Q&A became mainstream marketing channels, allowing founders to communicate directly with potential community members.
During this period, traditional media still dominated. The involvement of well-known investors brought broader attention to this niche circle. However, the policy change on May 19, 2021, led to a major migration in the industry, fundamentally altering the information advantage of Chinese media.
As cryptocurrency gradually becomes mainstream overseas, Chinese media have to adjust their stance. At the same time, KOLs are beginning to rise, especially opinion leaders in the fields of technology and investment research. However, a series of events in 2022, such as the collapse of certain trading platforms and the crash of stablecoins, have plunged the market into a downturn.
In this context, the group of people working as KOLs has welcomed development opportunities. The emergence of tools like Twitterscan aims to help users discover market trends by organizing encryption users and content on Twitter. However, how to achieve a commercial closed loop has become a key issue.
In 2023, the emergence of a certain social platform marked the first stress test on the monetization ability of KOLs. It encouraged KOLs to trade their "influence" and even fabricate false influence among themselves. Although it achieved short-term success, it also revealed the fact that the content itself is difficult to directly withstand the impact of trading.
Ultimately, Kaito's emergence has brought a new transformation to this field. It initially focused on AI search and later shifted to KOL ranking, successfully encouraging KOLs to actively participate in competition. Kaito has created a more controllable ecosystem by separating information flow and capital flow. It has not only become a market-recognized KOL list but has also achieved the conversion from information flow to capital flow.
Looking to the future, the development direction of the encryption information flow platform may be to find products that can directly convert information into transactions. However, the realization of this goal still faces numerous challenges, as encryption users' recognition of the value of information flow remains relatively low. Nevertheless, the evolution of this field is ongoing, and we look forward to its next development.
