The Singapore dollar has strengthened slightly, as the market focuses on the release of the US CPI data.

According to Mars Finance, as reported by Jin10, during the Asian trading session, the Singapore dollar strengthened slightly against the US dollar, possibly related to holdings adjustments. Analysts from Malayan Banking stated that the market is cautious about the US CPI data to be released later today. Analysts pointed out that unless there are clear signs showing significant increases in price pressures due to tariffs, this inflation report is unlikely to greatly alter the market's expectations for the Fed's rate cut or further easing in September.
