Big Move from Circle: Arc Blockchain! 🚀
Circle has announced its new project Arc, which will make waves in the crypto world. This new Layer-1 blockchain operates on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and uses USDC as the gas token for all transactions. This means that USDC will now be at the center of both payment and asset tokenization operations.
Arc comes fully integrated with Circle's Payment Network. This will enable fast, low-cost stablecoin and currency transfers. According to the litepaper, it achieves 3,000 TPS speed and transaction times under 350 ms with 20 validators. With smaller validator groups, this speed can even exceed 10,000 TPS.

Financial Status & USDC Growth
Circle's USDC continues to grow:
In the second quarter of 2025, a 90% increase to $61.3 billion in circulation.
It reached a level of $65.2 billion at the beginning of August.
28% market share in the fiat-backed stablecoin market
42 billion $ USDC was minted in the quarter, 40.8 billion $ was withdrawn.
Although it reported a net loss of $482 million due to IPO costs, Circle achieved a net income of $583 million with its $1.2 billion public offering in June.
Circle also welcomed the passage of the GENIUS Act, which brings federal regulation for stablecoins in the USA.
