SUI Technology Upgrade and Development Prospects: Move Language + Object Model Driving Blockchain Innovation
SUI Blockchain Development Prospects and Technology Upgrades
SUI is a global coordination layer aimed at addressing the increasing centralization of the internet. Its core objective is to create a set of decentralized protocols and platforms that enable developers to interoperate between different services and products without relying on centralized services or intermediaries.
SUI uses the Move programming language, which is a smart contract language designed for the secure handling of assets and funds. The features of the Move language are concise and efficient, allowing developers to achieve more functionality with less code, and eliminating cumbersome security checks, thereby reducing the risk of code vulnerabilities.
The uniqueness of SUI lies in its object-driven programming model, which makes development more natural, especially for developers familiar with object-oriented programming. SUI also adopts a multi-machine system architecture, allowing for parallel processing of transactions by adding working nodes, significantly increasing efficiency.
In terms of technological upgrades, SUI recently launched a new consensus mechanism called Mr. SETI, aimed at achieving lower latency and higher throughput. With Mr. SETI, SUI can process 100,000 transactions per second while ensuring that transactions are confirmed in less than one second.
Another important upgrade is Walrus, which is a decentralized programmable storage platform. Walrus offers lower storage costs than other blockchains and introduces the Red Shift mechanism, achieving complete redundancy by replicating data five times across multiple nodes.
SUI also plans to launch its own DNS system, closely integrated with the Walrus storage platform, to provide users with a safer and more decentralized website access experience. This will help reduce the risk of DNS attacks and improve overall security.
In terms of future development, the SUI team expects that by November 2025, the platform could have over 120 million unique active wallets and attract more than 25,000 active Move developers. They also predict that the total locked value of all Move blockchains could achieve a 10-fold increase, reaching 10-20 billion dollars.
The long-term goal of SUI is to become a leading Blockchain platform, achieving this by attracting excellent developers to build applications that solve real-world problems. The team is focused on optimizing core performance and looks forward to seeing some powerful consumer applications launch next year.
