Most DM connections are fake.

lately i see a lot of people saying "build connections in DMs, that's the key to growth."

but most DMs i've seen feel forced, like someone trying too hard to farm a connect.

and when it feels artificial, it's the opposite of connection.

› the best connections are built sincerely.

if i like a person - i'll support, share ideas, offer help or opportunities with no strings attached.

› the only other way is mutual value.

bring something useful: an offer, an idea, an insight. there's nothing wrong with that, this game works on reciprocity. if you want value, give value first.

in the end, it's either genuine or mutually beneficial. everything else just feels fake.
