Dan Tapiero predicts crypto will reach 50 trillion USD, launching a 500 million fund under the name 50T.
Two growth investment funds in the cryptocurrency sector – 10T Holdings and 1RoundTable Partners – have merged and renamed themselves to 50T, while launching a new investment fund worth 500 million USD, focusing on blockchain, crypto companies, and Web3 infrastructure.
Founder Dan Tapiero raises the forecast for the value of the digital asset ecosystem from 10 trillion USD to 50 trillion USD over the next decade, including the market value of crypto and equity in public-private companies in the industry. Currently, the total industry value has reached 5 trillion USD.
The new fund named 50T Fund V is a closed-end fund with a duration of 10 years and is expected to raise its initial capital in Q4/2025. Previously, the company recorded notable divestment deals such as Deribit being acquired by Coinbase for $2.9 billion, and Circle and eToro going public.
Currently, 50T is managing 2 billion USD in assets, maintaining a position on the board of directors of several portfolio companies and emphasizing the "picks and shovels" strategy with active management and structured downside risk protection.
